Midwest NO Prep Series – Mid America Showdown

GENERAL RULES:
* Racing Straight Off The Trailer!!! * 1 Burnout, Tire Crack is a Jump, First is Worst, Cross Is A Loss, and Pour Your Own Puddle. * Tech Errors are to be called out before the cars leave the starting line.
GENERAL SAFETY RULES FOR ALL CLASSES:
*No Leaks, Clean Under Carriage, Helmet, Racing Suit (Long Sleeves/Pants), All Lug Nuts, Working Harnesses / Seatbelts, A/C must be turned off, Battery Secured, any aftermarket fuel cells are to have a rollover check valve on the vent, etc
. * No extended weight bars, or other types of bars are allowed past the rear bumper of the car other than the parachute mount/parachute (parachute mounts are not to be used as a wheelie bar or weight bar). Wheelie bars are allowed in Big Tire as the rules state below. * All weight must be contained within car, bumper to bumper, on the chassis and rearend is okay. All weight must be secured in an appropriate fashion deemed by tech, if you need to, message the page for more guidance.
* You must run doors (automatic DQ)
. * No passengers (automatic DQ).
* No drinking or use of drugs while racing (automatic DQ)
. * If any part of your car flies off such as a hood, trunk lid, hood scoop, axle, etc and it affects the other driver before the finish line it is an automatic DQ.
** For the Integrity of the Event – Engine Diapers are STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.
DAILY DRIVER
* $125 Buy In plus $30 tech card * 80/20 Split Paid in CASH
Rules: * Vehicle Must Be Tagged, Titled, and Insured – NO PAPER TAGS – NO EXCEPTIONS * No Slicks Allowed, Must be a DOT Tire. Drag Radials are allowed. No bald tires. * Must have factory glass, factory body panels, and factory frame. * Bolt in and Weld in K-Members are allowed. Subframe Connectors are allowed. * Fiberglass/Carbon Fiber Hood is allowed, * Trucks may have a Lexan rear glass for roll cage only. * Must have windshield wipers. * No Mini-Tubs or Full Tubs. * Full Factory Interior, including door panels and front dash. Front seats don’t have to be factory but there must be at least two. NO Backseat delete * Roll Cages are allowed for safety * Factory Style Suspension in the stock location. Shock relocation kits are allowed (ie Novas). Aftermarket shocks and springs are allowed. * FOOTBRAKE ONLY, No Transbrake, Launch Control, or 2 Steps are allowed. If you are equipped with either it must be disabled. You will be disqualified if either is used. * No Parachutes * Single Power Adder Only, ie Turbo (twins are allowed), 1 Kit of Nitrous, 1 Procharger, etc. * Exhaust must exit behind the front doors and have a muffler. A turbo will act as a muffler but still must exit behind the driver’s door. * 15-20 Mile Cruise – must beat chase vehicle back, * Cannot use an ATV, Golf Cart, ETC to get to the line or return.
TRUE STREET
* $175 Buy In plus $30 tech card * 80/20 Split Paid in CASH
Rules: * Vehicle Must Be Tagged, Titled, and Insured – NO PAPER TAGS – NO EXCEPTIONS working lights, blinkers and brake lights * Max Tire is a 28×10.5 Non W (Max Slick Size – Measurements from a Hoosier), unless equipped from factory with larger (yes slicks are allowed). Daily Cars with Daily Tire Rule Are Allowed. * Must have factory glass, and factory body panels – aftermarket bumper/cover is okay. * Subframe Connectors are allowed. * Fiberglass/Carbon Fiber Hood is allowed * Trucks may have a Lexan rear glass for roll cage only. * Fender exits allowed * No Tube Chassis, but a bolt in/weld In K-Member is allowed. * Mini-Tubs and Tubs are allowed. * Factory Style Suspension in the stock location up front. Shock relocation kits are allowed (ie Novas). Aftermarket shocks and springs are allowed. Ladder bars are allowed but no 4-Links. * Must have 2 front seats and factory appearing interior with dash i.e. no gutted cars ! * Transbrake and 2-Steps are allowed * Dual power adders are allowed (ie: 2 kits of Nitrous, Supercharger and 1 kit of Nitrous) * 15-20 Mile Cruise – must beat chase vehicle back, Cruise may be omitted by race officials for reasons they see fit. * Cannot use an ATV, Golf Cart, ETC to get to the line or return. *no external weight outside of car
SMALL TIRE
* $220 Buy In plus $30 tech card * 80/20 Split Paid in CASH
Rules: * 28×10.5 Non W (Max Tire Size), No wheel limit * Must have Steel Roof and Quarters, unless different from the factory (ie Corvettes, Convertible) * Must be a door car * Must start from the driver’s seat * No Wheelie Bars * Must have Driveshaft Safety Loop * no external weight outside of car
TAILGATE
* $200 Buy In plus $30 tech card * 80/20 Split Paid in CASH
Rules: * General race requirements apply * Must have come from factory with a tailgate. *
BIG TIRE
* $250 Buy In plus $30 tech card * 80/20 Split Paid in CASH
Rules: * Must be a door car * Must start from the driver’s seat * Must have Driveshaft Safety Loop *
The $30 tech card fee will cover a driver’s band and two crew bands. Tech card fees are used to help pay for the event cost.
Registration from 8:00 am-11:00 am , Please bring your Drivers License and Insurance for the Daily Driver and True Street– classes.
* Spectator gate opens at 10:00, $15 per Person, 12 and Under Free. * All class races will receive a driver’s band and 2 Crew Bands with their registration
* Additional crew bands can be purchased for $15 each
